Day 1 – Your First Visit
New practice members often remark how efficient and friendly our Oneida NY office and staff are. That’s true and essential, because we are focused on helping our practice members achieve great results.
High Tech Efficiency For Great Results
Your first visit will begin with a short tour of our high-tech Oneida NY office. At Lombardi Chiropractic we are very focused on achieving great results. To help us in this purpose, all practice members are given their own health care card. This is a bar coded card that is utilized in our office to electronically keep track of all of your patient records. Your file, including any x-ray images, doctor notes, progress reports, etc. will automatically come up on the terminal next to the adjusting table so that the doctor has your information right in front of him each and every time he provides an adjustment. This system also allows us to track exactly how long our practice members wait for an adjustment, when the patient’s next date of re-exam will be, what the financial status of their account is, and other pertinent information.
Let’s Get to Know Each Other
You may complete your New Practice Member Paperwork online or at your first office visit. You will also watch a short video, in which Dr. Lombardi explains care in our office.
You will now meet with Dr. Lombardi to discuss the specifics of your case, and then our exam assistant will perform a series of tests to help us evaluate your overall well-being, any problem areas and areas of concern. Our chiropractic examination may include:
Physical – This is a general evaluation that may include the recording of height, weight, pulse, blood pressure and similar objective measurements.
Orthopedic – This examination tests your ability to turn, bend and move key joints of your skeletal system through their expected range of motion.
Neurological – We’ll test your dermatomes, deep tendon reflexes, muscle strength and other aspects pointing to the health of your central nervous system.
Chiropractic – These tests can include postural evaluations, static and dynamic palpation and other procedures to reveal neurological problems.
Thermography – Thermography is a way of measuring tiny differences in skin temperature that can reveal nervous system disturbances.
X-Ray – Diagnostic imaging can help locate any bone abnormalities, fractures and reveal your spine’s phase of spinal decay.
First Visit Wrap Up - You will be given a take home DVD to welcome you to the office. On this DVD you will be able to see what an adjustment looks like on an adult as well as a newborn baby! Your first visit is wrapped up by scheduling your next appointment for an initial report of findings visit.
After this exam and consultation Dr. Lombardi will review the results of the examination and correlate it with your history to determine if he will be able to help you, and if so, the best way to deliver the most effective adjustments.
